Wearlon® 4545.76 This silicone epoxy has inferior abrasion and slip properties when compared to the Wearlon® 2020.98 series of coatings. Because of the high silicone contact, it has found favor for its outstanding release properties, and is presently being used on parts, to prevent glue, adhesives, and paint from sticking to them. Holding tanks, such as paint tanks for striping roads have enjoyed the easy clean-up of their tanks coated with Wearlon® 4545.76.
Pressure sensitive adhesives and hot melt coaters need the non-stick properties of Wearlon® 4545.76. Wearlon® 4545.76 is being used on private and public properties for its anti-stick properties on lamp posts and bulletin boards, to overcome the problem of illegal advertising stickers. Pressure sensitive adhesives such as tapes, stickers, chewing gum, and paints can be easily removed from Wearlon® 4545.76-coated surfaces.
Automotive manufacturers are coating exhaust fans with Wearlon® 4545.76 to prevent paint build-up on the fans, which has resulted in financial savings.
