Typical Physical and Chemical Properties of Wearlon Silicone Epoxies Where applicable these tests have been conducted on cold rolled steel Q-Panels that have been surface prepared to SSPC 10 (sandblasted) and spray coated with 4.0 mil DFT (dry film thickness) of Wearlon 2020.90 Primer, room temperature cured for 24 hours, followed by spray coating with Wearlon 2020.98 coating to 4.0 mil DFT. The coated panels were cured at room temperature (minimum of 20° C) for 7 days before testing commenced. For some tests, different samples were specifically required.
NOTE: Wearlon® silicone epoxies have a tendency to chalk and fade towards the yellow side, after extensive aging in sunlight. However, the physical and chemical properties are maintained. It is recommended to use yellow colors or dark colors to resist changes in appearance.
